Tracking SDG7: The Energy Progress Report

The United Nations (UN) set up 17 goals at the beginning of the 21st century for a sustainable world in the future, Sustainability Development Goals (SDGs). Among these goals, one of them calls for energy to become more clean and affordable for all (SDG7). Key words you might think of are renewable energy sources and energy efficiency.

The International Energy Agency, along with the UN, ERENA, World Bank and WHO have published a report on the progress of achieving SDG7, including best practices and policy recommendations. The report covers electricity access, access to clean cooking solutions, renewable energy, and energy efficiency.
